Then there is the dumping fees that you don’t find out about until your junk is taken to the city dump. Hence, you have no idea how much will the total cost to your garbage pick up will be until the end. With junk removal companies that use trucks to load the garbage, you are given a quote before they load anything. As a general rule the total coast of using a bin in your renovation and construction project can almost be four times the rental quote.

You have to load the bins yourself

Bin companies just park the bin in front of your property and you have to load all the junk into it. It is a good workout but if you already have a gym membership, why do it.

Other problems with renting a bin for junk removal

There is a little known problem with renting bins in Vancouver. At night, people dump their own unwanted garbage. In is not uncommon to wake up in the morning and notice that someone has added a tv,mattress and a couch to your construction waste.

So, What is better? Junk Removal Company or a Bin Company?

It really depends but in most cases a rubbish removal company is better. If you have a diverse type of garbage then hiring a junk removal business is better. You get a great flexibility on what you can throw away and how much you will be charged. You also get to renovate your house without the city of Vancouver telling you how it should be done. However, if you have a really large project generating pretty much the same type of construction waste, then it will be better to rent a bin.
