West Vancouver garbage disposal story

Recently here at West Vancouver Garbage Hauling, we encountered a very special occupation. I use the word special as I feel it is very difficult to correctly articulate the goings on about what occurred. I could use the word like hoarding to describe our most recent Endeavor in junk disposal and moving, but I believe that might not do justice to the ability we all were fortunate enough to partake in. You see, our normal days of work consist of many hours of waste disposal and or moving apartments, houses, etc… but not over these three very special days.

When you have ever saw the reality shows about individuals who will not throw things out, they always seem to show the most extreme cases, like mental illness and other very special situation, but we recognized that even a high working professional member of society can hoard with the best of them. To put that in perspective, that is like 100 medium-large sized cardboard moving boxes fully full, and somehow we were able to put almost all of them into a two bedroom apartment! There were boxes stuffed in hallways, closets, and even a tub. I could go on and on about the number of material we moved, but this might turn into a 300 page novel, as opposed to a weekly post. Let us just say there was enough items that you could barely see the floors and walls of-the newest flat. The items that we moved represented a lot more than just material goods, they represented clear emotional issues that this individual was experiencing. I feel like it’s safe to state that no one wants their residence to be fully cluttered and virtually impossible to navigate through, but for some reason it may be nearly impossible for some individuals to just throw stuff away

To be honest, this was as much of the mental and psychological evaluation on our group because it was a laborious one. What I mean by that is we had to be part movers and trash disposal guys, but more importantly we had to be very patient and type to our client in order to not seem insensitive. That having been said, we pulled it away, and throughout the entire time we kept a suitable and sufficient amount of professionalism while going. This post isn’t meant to be just an account of what occurred at this work, but more of a message to your customers that in the event that you feel like you have somebody like the person I have described in your social group, we can assist. This job was a test of our capabilities in every ability, and by then end of it, we realized most importantly that there practically is not any job that’s too big or intimidating. When it really is mandatory we learned that we can relate to your clients on a deeper level than most, and will work with even the most interesting people. I hope that if you have a hoarder or pack rat in your household, that you won’t let it go on for a long time, and I hope that once you make the decision to change the course of one’s life or somebody else’, that you phone us and let us help. We’d love only to be part of your own life changing transformation.

To maintain the privacy of-the customer, I will not say the city, address, or even allude to this man’s name. It definitely looked like there would be a lot of things to be moved, but also much more to be disposed of, after we did the estimate for that job. To our surprise, on day one of three, hour one of an eventual 40 over only three days, we understood this individual was actually unable to spend the bulk of his things. Even after being enlightened of the relevance of each particular piece, pieces that contained old CD samplers from beer cases, and even paint chips, we still thought that it might just take our team of two young men about 1.5 days…
